Parents and Students, please plan on attending a wonderful performance of the Matsiko World Orphans Choir Thursday, March 29 at 6:30 pm in the multipurpose room. During this performance children from Liberia and Peru will be sharing information of their lives and culture.
Matsiko gets its name from the Ugandan word for “hope” and the children will sing songs that give just that to those that listen.
This performance will include beautiful children’s harmonies. In addition the children will share cultural dances, act out dramas, and perform some of the most powerful and complex drum routines ever heard.
I am hoping that we will have a large crowd to welcome and hear this amazing choir. This is such a great opportunity for our students to hear about other parts of the globe.
By the way if you are interested in hosting a child from the choir during their stay in San Diego next week, please let me know. I have paperwork and details that I can share with you.
