Integrated Preschool Opportunity

Poway Unified School District is pleased to offer for the 2012-2013 school year, Integrated Preschool Programs at Pomerado Elementary and Deer Canyon Elementary schools. They will serve 3 to 5 year old children with and without special needs. A general education developmental curriculum will include both large and small group circle time, play, and language activities. Other skills and activities that are introduced are music and rhythm; self help skills, thinking skills, language arts, social skills, number concepts, gross and fine motor skills. The children who have special needs may experience difficulty in one or more of the following areas: speech and language, play skills, and social skills. The success of the integrated program greatly depends on the inclusion of children without special needs who act as models as all children learn together.
